Pub Manager

Revolution Brewing is seeking experienced candidates for a Brewpub Front of House Manager opening at our award-winning restaurant in Logan Square. Our managers oversee service to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction and works in coordination with the back of house to maintain a high quality of product. They manage the floor when on shift, along with managing other administrative duties such as scheduling, ordering, and cash management. This role will work 5 shifts per week, varying in open/mid/closes and weekends throughout the month.


  • Work under the GM to help supervise front of house (FOH) staff, elevating and ensuring service standards for all Bar, Host, Bus and Servers.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction while working floor shifts. Rectify all service/ product issues with the guests, while training servers on how to manage such situations.
  • Enforce and maintain staff policies, from attendance and dress standards to cash and tab management.
  • Collect all monies and credit card receipts from all FOH employees ensuring accuracy, reconciling end of day finances, balance deposit, banks and petty cash.
  • Monitor and communicate item outages to floor and kitchen staff.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels during shift, cutting employees as necessary.
  • Address any service, safety, money, maintenance, food or relevant issues directly.
  • Perform opening and/or closing manager duties; supervise and ensure completion of all FOH staff opening and/or closing duties, as applicable.


  • 2 years of experience working in a related management position involving direct responsibility for floor management, kitchen supervision, inventory and scheduling.
  • At least 5 years of restaurant experience.
  • BASSET, Food Handlers Sanitation Certificate, and Allergens certificate required.
  • Proficiency in Aloha POS Systems, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects.
  • Ability to adopt the Revolution Brewing voice in representing the Brewpub.
  • Strong knowledge of craft beer and the brewing process. Certified Beer Server or Cicerone a plus.
  • Ability to work a mix of late nights, early mornings and 10+ hour shifts.
  • Ability to work 50+ hours a week; Night and Weekend availability is a must.
  • Lift between 50-60 lbs.
